These terms define the use of the B-Safe website, free tier, Pro license and beta software.
B-Safe is licensed, not sold. Subject to these terms, the user receives a limited, personal, non-transferable and non-exclusive license to use the software on supported macOS devices.
The Free tier includes core vault features. Pro features may be used only within the scope, term and device limit of a valid license.
Pro payment is completed on Shopier’s hosted checkout. Payment services are provided under Shopier’s own terms and privacy policy.
After payment verification, the license key is emailed to the order address and can be retrieved again using the order number on the purchase page.
Refund eligibility and process are evaluated under applicable consumer law, the delivery status of the digital product and the Shopier order flow. A completed full refund may revoke the linked license; partial refunds are reviewed manually.
Users are responsible for passwords, hidden-section passwords and keyfiles. B-Safe does not centrally retain these secrets and cannot recover a forgotten password.
Creating a vault is not a substitute for backup. Users should keep separate, current backups of original files, .bs vaults and any required keyfiles.
Beta releases may contain defects, change interfaces or data behavior and may not yet have a public-release signing and notarization chain.
Updates may include security, compatibility or feature changes. Vault formats older than v11 may not open in the main app and may require a separate migration tool or an earlier version.
The software may not be used to store unlawful content, violate third-party rights, bypass license or device controls, distribute malware or attack service infrastructure.
Except where applicable law expressly permits it, reverse engineering, removing signature or certificate checks, sharing license keys or redistributing the software is prohibited.
B-Safe helps improve file security but does not guarantee absolute, error-free or unbreakable protection. Device security, password quality and backup practices materially affect outcomes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the software is provided as available. Liability for data loss, interruption or indirect damage is limited within applicable legal boundaries.
New Pro-feature use may be disabled for revoked, expired or device-limit-violating licenses. Device access may also be blocked in cases of abuse.
B-Safe aims not to remove access to a user’s existing hidden-section, keyfile or Touch ID vaults solely because a Pro license ended; security blocks, corruption or unsupported formats may still affect access.
Unless stated otherwise, the software, website design, text, visuals and brand elements belong to the rights holder.
Features, pricing, license terms and this document may be updated. Material changes take effect when published.
